On December 9, 2020, I was seated as a Calabasas City Councilmember. I am very grateful to Jennifer, Frances, Joe, Kelly, Lesli, Marcie, Elizabeth and all of those who helped me take office through volunteering, donating, endorsing and just spreading the word. I also want to thank Alicia Weintraub, Susan Fredericks-Ploussard and Dennis Washburn for running an honest and ethical campaign about local issues in the midst of a pandemic and national discord.
Although my campaign committee is now closed, I am leaving this website up as a reminder to you and me of the platform upon which I was elected.
“My greatest accomplishment on the Planning Commission is not a project or a vote. It is a change in attitude. When I took my seat, I made it a point to listen and respond to each and every point that was made by our community. I tried to make sure that anyone who brought a concern before the commission received a response.”
If Elected to City Council, I will: |
Promote transparency in the City government. |
Bring my business experience to all Council matters. |
Hold developers accountable and protect the environment. |
Continue to support our local schools. |
Ensure that every voice is heard and considered before any vote. |
I have lived in Calabasas for 15 years where my wife Lesli and I have raised two children. Our kids, Andrew and Rachel, attended local schools, including Lupin Hill Elementary School, A.E. Wright Middle School and Agoura High School. For the past 19 years, I have owned and operated my own firm, South Coast Engineering Group, employing over 20 engineers, designers and draftsmen here in Calabasas. I serve on the Planning Commission. I am an avid outdoorsman who loves hiking and backpacking, camping, water skiing and snow skiing. I have been an Assistant Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 127 for 10 years. Coaching and participating in dozens of Eagle Scout projects, I have contributed thousands of hours to planting trees, cleaning up trails, re-building habitats and improving our neighborhood parks. Calabasas is my home.
